Kedaireka emerged from the vision of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, and the Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Nizam M.Sc, DIC, Ph.D, to facilitate synergy between higher education institutions and partners on a single platform. The commitment to Kedaireka is also supported by the presence of the Matching Fund program as an incentive for collaboration.

The significant participation of partner organizations, such as PII, HIPMI, and Kadin DKI Jakarta, as well as academics from higher education institutions across Indonesia, plays a major and essential role in creating a sustainable Kedaireka. Additionally, support from media colleagues and NGOs also plays an important role in the Kedaireka Merdeka Campus ecosystem.

Dikti has dedicated a new team specifically to create and manage the Kedaireka platform. Professionalism is the key focus for the Kedaireka platform management team, which includes consultants with years of proven expertise from multinational companies, the media and also the academics.
